What is the reason for your residence permit

Employee - Self-employed

(a) Valid passport or identity card and copies thereof.

(b) Employer's order confirmation (Part III of the application) or certificate of employment.

(c) Two passport photos. - It should be noted that the photographs will be taken during the application process.

Training

(a) Valid passport or identity card and copies thereof.

(b) Proof of enrolment for studies at a private or public educational institution accredited or funded by the Republic, including vocational training courses.

(c) Proof of comprehensive health insurance coverage in the Republic.

(d) Declaration or other equivalent means of the applicants' choice to ensure that they have sufficient resources for themselves and their family not to become a burden on the social assistance system of Cyprus during the stay.

(e) Two passport photos. - It should be noted that photographs will be taken during the application process.

Pensioner - Retired - Private

(a) Fixed or adequate income from employment outside the Republic,

(b) or fixed adequate income from other legal sources such as pensions or annuities,

(c) Sufficient deposits in banks in the Republic or abroad,

(d) Proof of comprehensive health insurance in the Republic (special 'attention will be paid to the benefit description),

(e) confirmation of deregistration from Germany, if applicable.

Relatives

The following documents are also required for the issue of a registration certificate to family members of a Union citizen who are also nationals of a Member State:

 

(a) A document certifying the existence of a family relationship.

(b) If applicable, the registration certificate of the Union citizen whom he accompanies or joins.

(c) For a person under 21 years of age who is subject to the citizen and spouse, proof that the family members are dependants.

 

Fees

The application fees to be paid are currently 20 euros for EU citizens and 20 euros for each family member of a member.

Please note the following, for documents issued abroad:

  • That these have been translated into Greek or English by an official body.
  • Documents must be certified with APOSTILLE if the country is a signatory to the 1961 Hague Convention.
  • Other possibilities for the validity of documents are through embassies, consulates, etc.
