A year's sabbatical from Germany was planned...

My daughter and I have been living in Cyprus since 2003. We had planned to take a year off from Germany. But a private stroke of fate changed our entire life situation. The warm-heartedness of the Cypriots, their helpfulness and hospitality, the Mediterranean climate and the attractiveness of the island made it easy for us to decide in favour of Cyprus. 

 

At the beginning of 2008, my brother and I, as self-made builders, started the adventure of "building a house in Cyprus". 

 

Local building and business culture met German punctuality, precision, ideas of design and quality. The implementation and view of building contracts demanded a maximum of willingness to compromise and inventiveness on both sides. In the end, a villa was completed that both sides could be proud of.

On social media, I write about

culinary delights, Cypriot wine culture and lifestyle. "GoodWine. GoodFood. LifeStyle." I am private friends with many restaurateurs and renowned winemakers. 

 

I am always on the lookout for new things, try them out and see what I can include on this website. That way it always remains interesting for loyal readers.

 

Over the years I have become a member of various organisations:

 

"Cyprus Sommeliers Association", " Wine and Business Club of Cyprus", "Wine and Dine Club", "Ladies@Lunch" and "Secret Valley Cooking Class"." 

 

Through my passion for sports and my desire for wellness, I have had experience with various spa and gym facilities, in a wide variety of hotels on the island. I am happy to pass on this information as well.

I have been living mostly in Cyprus since 2014. As a trained construction technician and active for many years as a property developer, I am naturally interested in the local real estate market.


The difference to the German real estate market couldn't be starker, but also couldn't be more exciting.

 

The decision to move to this beautiful island altogether was easy for me.

 

Golf is my hobby, but the real estate market has been with me all my life.


An analysis of the well-known German real estate portals showed that all of them offer the segment of foreign real estate, but the focus is on the domestic market. 

I have been interested in closing this gap for some time. I have a motivated team, local knowledge and programming skills.

So we have been working on the information portal pro85 for Cyprus since the end of 2021.

 

 Career

 

  • Training in structural engineering, steel and concrete construction, as a construction technician in urban railway and bridge construction.
  • About 40 years of experience in the development, evaluation and marketing of real estate projects.
  • As a partner in a property development company, I built and marketed approx. 800 flats.
  • As an external sales manager, for commercial real estate and residential projects, I last worked for a German bank.
