The hotel industry in Cyprus offers a wide range. From smaller pensions, mostly inland, to 4 and 5 * hotels along the coasts.
As everywhere in the world, prices are higher during the high season. In the winter months you can stay very well and cheaply.
What has unfortunately taken over are the all-inclusive arrangements. This is a hard slap in the face for the local gastronomy. Tourists will find that the small tavernas and restaurants are the real flair of the island.
Unlike the hotel staff, who are mostly from Eastern European countries, the local tavernas are mostly served by Cypriots who live and love hospitality. Here you come as a guest and leave as a friend!
In the Paphos region, you can eat excellently in the hotels.
If you fancy Cypriot, Italian or Asian cuisine, you won't be disappointed here. You can find our tips and more detailed descriptions under the Taverns and Restaurants button.

What the future holds:
In the southern part of Cyprus, in the coastal city of Limassol, Europe's largest casino is being built. The ground-breaking ceremony took place in August 2018 and construction will take approximately 3 years.
The casino intends to install 136 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines.
The complex will include a luxury hotel (Hard Rock Hotel) with approx. 500 rooms, including a spa area (approx. 4,000 sqm) and a concert hall for 1,500 people.
